Chasing Perfection — My journey to becoming a commercial drone pilot

“The minimum standard at Flyby is perfect. We never get there, but why would you set something lower?” — Jon Parker FRAeS, Founder of Flyby Technology and a former Sea Harrier pilot.

Woo Hoo!! I’ve been skipping around like an excited five-year-old today, because this morning I received Permission for Commercial Operations from the Civil Aviation Authority.

I am a Flyby-trained rotary and fixed-wing drone pilot. You really can’t put a price on the value of good training, but you can certainly feel the difference because my confidence as a pilot has been built at every stage on a strong foundation of knowledge based on my own style of learning. Flyby's training has been seamless, professional and thorough right through, plus I have mentoring benefits to last an entire career.

If you are looking to gain your permissions, or if you want to use drones in your business and need to talk with someone who can design that capability for you, you need to talk with Flyby. If you want to talk about BVLOS, start here! You’ll see a film I made about Flyby’s Beyond Visual Line of Sight training, the first in the country.

If you’d like some engaging, story-led films for your business, including ground and aerial footage too, you can talk with me!
